The chattering class in DC is all abuzz today that after another round of shellacking in this week’s primaries, Newt Gingrich will suspend his Presidential campaign next Tuesday, and is “highly likely” to endorse Mitt Romney for President.
I take some pleasure in wondering how that tastes to Gingrich, who not long ago bragged about the virtual certainty of his nomination and likely clinched the election for Obama by forcing Romney to the far right with Rick Santorum.
Here’s a hearty sayonara to the architect of our poisoned politics and the failed leader of the Center for Healthcare Transformation, which filed for bankruptcy last week. Good riddance.
